Exercise to improve fatigue

Fatigue is nothing new for office workers. Hong Kong people's enthusiasm for work is world-renowned, and even during a Typhoon Signal No. 8, they rush to work for the sake of livelihood. Overtiredness has been recognized by the World Health Organization as an occupational disease, defined as the inability to successfully cope with long-term work pressure, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome.

Chronic fatigue is a sub-health condition, where the body's health and illness are at a critical point, and fatigue serves as a warning sign. Prolonged fatigue can lead to increased stress, anxiety, insomnia, irritability, decreased concentration, and memory decline.

When feeling fatigued, you can use 10 grams each of turmeric, longan, and schisandra. Wash them, add hot water, and steep in a thermos for 20 minutes before drinking. This tea can relieve fatigue, promote liver health, regulate qi, nourish the kidneys, enhance cognitive function, and calm the mind, especially suitable for those with high work and life stress.

Turmeric is pungent and bitter in taste, cold in nature, and acts on the liver, gallbladder, and heart meridians. It can invigorate blood, promote qi circulation, relieve pain, soothe depression, clear the mind, regulate yin, and reduce jaundice.

Longan is sweet in taste, warm in nature, and acts on the heart and spleen meridians. It can stimulate appetite, strengthen the spleen, nourish blood, calm the mind, invigorate yang, and replenish qi.

Schisandra is sour with a hint of sweetness, warm in nature, and acts on the lung, heart, and kidney meridians. It can nourish the five organs, tonify the kidneys, astringe the lungs, nourish the heart, protect the liver, generate fluids, replenish qi, curb sweating, and stop seminal emission.

Many people use fatigue as an excuse not to exercise, but exercise is actually a way to improve fatigue. Regular 30-minute aerobic exercise can help relieve muscle tension, promote blood circulation, and improve fatigue.
