Mask allergy

Wearing a mask every day, coupled with extremely high humidity, not only leaves red marks on my face after returning home, but also frequently causes rashes behind my ears due to the elastic bands. From a medical perspective, skin allergies are primarily abnormal conditions such as redness, swelling, itching, peeling, or allergic dermatitis that occur after the skin is exposed to adverse stimuli.

Allergies and eczema mostly appear on the skin, and the lungs govern the skin and hair. Simply put, if the lungs are not healthy, it will not only affect the trachea and respiratory tract but also directly impact skin function. Appropriate tea therapy can help eliminate toxins from the body, reduce inflammation, and clear heat.

It is recommended to use five grams of chamomile, add hot water, and steep it in a thermos for five minutes before drinking. Chamomile tastes pungent and sweet, is slightly cold in nature, and enters the lung and liver meridians. It can dispel wind and heat, clear the liver and brighten the eyes, calm the skin, relieve tension, stabilize emotions, reduce skin sensitivity, and moisturize the skin. It can also relieve eczema and sensitivity, help improve bodily swelling, purify the skin, and alleviate aches and pains caused by physical discomfort.

Regular consumption of chamomile tea can provide antioxidant benefits, making the skin radiant and improving dull complexion. Drinking it in the evening helps relax the body and mind, calms the nerves, and aids sleep, which can improve conditions like excessive dreaming or insomnia. When your skin is itchy, you can soak a cotton pad in cooled or chilled chamomile tea and apply it to your face. This helps soothe the skin, reduce redness and itching, and can even eliminate dark circles.

Note: Chamomile has menstrual-regulating and pain-relieving effects on menstruation. Pregnant women should avoid it.
