Cold Dew, feet don't expose.

Today officially marks the Cold Dew solar term, which is likely a transitional period where the weather will change from cool to cold. The human body also adapts to nature, with yang energy gradually retracting, making it easier to catch colds, coughs, and chronic bronchitis during this time.

There is a saying that goes, "After White Dew, keep your body covered; after Cold Dew, keep your feet covered." This means that after the White Dew solar term, you should wear more clothes and not go bare-chested; and after the Cold Dew solar term, short skirts, shorts, and sandals should be put away. The legs are also known as the "second heart" of the human body, filled with blood vessels, nerves, and reflex points corresponding to the five internal organs, but because they are furthest from the heart, blood circulation is relatively poor, making cold feet a common occurrence. Therefore, blood circulation and keeping the feet warm are particularly important.

To strengthen your constitution and boost immunity, you can brew a tea with 5 grams of chrysanthemum, 5 grams of goji berries, and one candied date. Wash all ingredients, place them in a thermos, add hot water, and steep for 20 minutes before drinking. This tea can moisturize dryness, nourish yin, replenish qi and blood, and nourish the liver and kidneys.

Chrysanthemum is slightly cold in nature, sweet with a bitter taste, and acts on the liver and lung meridians. It can calm the liver and dispel wind, detoxify and reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure, and alleviate headaches. Goji berries are sweet in taste, neutral in nature, and act on the liver and kidney meridians. They can nourish the liver and improve vision, nourish the liver and kidneys, and moisturize the lungs and replenish qi. Candied dates are sweet in taste, neutral in nature, and act on the spleen, stomach, and heart meridians. They can invigorate the spleen and benefit the stomach, nourish yin and blood, and boost immunity.

Cold starts from the feet. An hour after dinner, soak your feet in warm water with ginger slices to help promote qi and blood circulation, improve cold hands and feet, and cultivate a cold-resistant constitution early on.
