Low body temperature

Nowadays, no matter where you go, taking your temperature has become part of our daily lives, with various forehead and palm thermometers available. A while ago, my son and I observed outside a shop for 5 minutes. Besides noticing that everyone's body temperature was different, we also discovered something interesting. Nearly one-third of the women passing by showed a red display indicating a low temperature, meaning below 35.5 degrees Celsius.

Many factors affect body temperature, such as age, body fat, exercise, and a woman's menstrual cycle. When the body loses heat, it means there is insufficient Yang energy. In addition to feeling cold, muscles can become stiff, and metabolism slows down. The cold climate in winter makes it easier to deplete vital energy. If the body's vital energy is insufficient, immunity decreases, and if one is not careful, it is easy to be invaded by cold pathogens and fall ill. Therefore, keeping the body warm is crucial to resist external evils.

Simply use 5 slices of ginger, one stick of cinnamon or one teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and one teaspoon of brown sugar, then add hot water and steep for 10 minutes to drink. This tea helps accelerate blood circulation, warm the body, and improve cold hands and feet. It is recommended to drink it during the day, as ginger and cinnamon are warm in nature and, while accelerating body circulation, can also affect sleep.

Ginger is pungent in taste, warm in nature, and enters the lung, spleen, and stomach meridians. It can warm the lungs to relieve cough and induce sweating to release the exterior, treating cold deficiency of the spleen and stomach or disharmony of stomach qi. Cinnamon is pungent and sweet in taste, very hot in nature, and enters the heart, spleen, liver, and kidney meridians. It can warm the middle to dispel cold, warm the kidneys to aid Yang, and warm the meridians to unblock blood vessels, mainly treating cold extremities due to spleen and kidney yang deficiency. Brown sugar is sweet in taste, warm in nature, and enters the spleen meridian. It can replenish qi and blood, strengthen the spleen and warm the stomach, relieve cramps and pain, and promote blood circulation to remove stasis.
