Stress and Periods

I believe no woman is unfamiliar with her monthly period, and sometimes its early or late arrival can be quite bothersome. I'm sure many people have experienced delayed menstruation due to stress. Recalling my excessive stress during the public examinations back then, I also experienced amenorrhea for half a year.

Humans have seven emotions and five wills. The seven emotions refer to the emotional changes of joy, anger, melancholy, pensiveness, sorrow, fear, and fright, among which joy, anger, melancholy, pensiveness, and fear are called the five wills. When under long-term stress, emotional imbalance can easily lead to liver qi stagnation. Where qi flows, blood flows; where qi stagnates, blood stagnates. If liver qi is not dispersed in time, it will lead to impeded qi and blood circulation, resulting in qi stagnation and blood stasis.

Qi stagnation and blood stasis have particularly significant effects on women, such as menstrual irregularities, menstrual pain, and blood clots during menstruation.

If menstrual irregularities are caused by stress, you can brew 5 grams each of rose and jasmine flowers with hot water for 15 minutes and then drink it.

This tea can soothe the liver and alleviate depression, helping to relieve symptoms such as premenstrual discomfort, menstrual pain, and menstrual irregularities.

Roses taste slightly bitter and sweet, are warm in nature, and enter the liver and spleen meridians. They can promote qi circulation and relieve stagnation, invigorate blood and resolve stasis, nourish blood and qi, beautify the skin, promote blood circulation, and balance endocrine. It is suitable for women with menstrual irregularities and menstrual pain.

Jasmine flowers taste pungent and sweet, are warm in nature, and enter the lung, spleen, and stomach meridians. They can refresh the mind, calm the nerves and benefit qi, clear the liver and improve vision, and clear heat and detoxify.

Note: This tea has blood-invigorating effects and is not suitable for consumption during menstruation or by pregnant women.
