The uterus is dismissed to the cold palace

My friend has been married for many years but hasn't been able to conceive. She's extremely anxious and recently started seeing a Chinese medicine practitioner to regulate her body. The practitioner's comment that her "uterus is colder than a freezer" particularly stuck with her. Although a bit exaggerated, it's a very apt description.

The Minor Heat solar term is approaching, meaning we're about to enter the hottest period of the year, when the body's yang energy is at its peak. Due to the hot weather, everyone dresses lightly, stays in air-conditioned places all day, and even consumes cold food. Cold can easily invade the body at this time, especially affecting a woman's uterus, potentially making it "colder than a freezer."

"A warm uterus means good complexion; a cold uterus breeds various illnesses." A warm uterus allows blood and qi to flow smoothly. Otherwise, blood and qi will congeal when encountering cold, which can lead not only to menstrual irregularities but also to period pain, melasma, aging, weight gain, and even difficulty conceiving.
